Brief Description of the Office
IT and Public Services Audit Directorate is one of the seventeen audit directorates under the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. This Audit directorate is responsible for carry out audit of 8 grants which are Cabinat Division, PMO, Ministry of Public Administration, Security Services Division, Public Security Division, Planing Division, Statistics and Informatics Division and IMED. In Addition, All the information systems that now used in public sector are Audited by this Directorate. Checking the integrity of IT systems and its functionalities are important issue as an Auditor. In this perspective, SAI Bangladesh has re-organized its audit directorates and separate an Audit Directorate named as “IT and Public Services Audit Directorate” is established for conducting Audit of IT System used in various government organization on 18th November, 2019. The objective of this Audit directorate is to conduct effective IT Audit of all information systems used in government organizations along with the regular audit of 8 grants, in order to ensure value for public money and provide reliable and objective information to stakeholders.
